Where will my Reiki session take place?
Your Reiki session will take place in a warm, comfortable, quiet room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a cushioned table for your comfort.

Will I be covered during the session?
You stay completely dressed at all times and may be covered with a sheet or blanket to keep you warm and comfortable.

What will Reiki feel like?
The Reiki practitioner/Master uses their hands either directly touching or over the client's body to start the energy connection. The energy flow of Reiki is often perceived by the client as hot, cold, pressure or static electricity. The client usually goes into a light sleep state and awakens refreshed at the end of a session.

What should I do during the Reiki session?
Prior to the Reiki session, feel free to ask the practitioner any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the session, make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating if/when they have a need such as another blanket, or anything else relevant to the session. If you have any questions regarding the session, feel free to ask.

How will I feel after the Reiki session?
Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days.  Some people have reported having more vivid dreams and being more sensitive to alcohol for a few days after a session.

What are the benefits of Reiki?
Reiki can help release chronic tension and pain, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress. Reiki is also known to promote better sleep, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being.

Are there any medical conditions that would make Reiki inadvisable?
Not really!
